speed limit: 90km

90km is the speed limit on the roads (ถนนหลวง)

i did not know this. i’ve been driving for over 10 years. 8 of them with a license.

so supposedly this is the dawn of a new era. no more traffic po’po’ hiding behind trees or chasing you down to give you a speeding ticket. they’ve installed speed cameras … i don’t know where. or how many. and basically they just mail you your speeding ticket.

honestly yo, i’ve never met anyone who got a speeding ticket in thailand.

so i suppose it isn’t really about new technology, but for the first time in thailand, a well respected amount of people will be issued speeding tickets.

i hav a friend who loves speeding. last time he was speeding on the express way, he was fined. he was going at like 200 km/hr or something. i dunno about highways though. :P mailing the tickets to u?… why they’re bored running around after speeders? em. :)
