possibility of bangkok flooding

Vichaiyut just issued a warning to their nurses and doctors that there will be a possibility of a major flooding.

The flooding is caused by three seperate events that will be happening simultaneously:

1. Flood waters from the north will reach Bangkok around Oct 11-12
2. Ministry of Meteorlogy has declared one week of nonstop rain
3. Sea levels rising due to the tides of the month.

The last time a flood of this magnitude happened was in 1939, where Bangkok was waist deep underwater for more than three months.

Please take precaution and read the file issued from Vichaiyut Hospital to its staff (below). in thai:

“Bangkok strives to be Asian Flood Capital!”

It was from some Doctor, as in PhD , not medicine, who predicted that there will be flood using some kind of her psychic power… She even went as far as the ‘Quake will happen in Bkk around 21-23 Oct too, can you believe this nut head ?

Its all just more typical bullshit fed to the “we believe anything” Thai public, I man just look at this post that made the national newspapers back in january. Did any of that really come true? Hardly.
