Scheduled Precipitation

I swear there must be a conspiracy against me and the millions of other people in Bangkok who leave the office at 5:30pm, because yet again it is pouring rain to the point that buildings close by are obscured.

What is it about this time of day???

And I got SO caught in it today… my suit was wet, my feet were sliding around in my shoes, it was HORRIBLE! My colleague’s dress looked like a swimsuit. And that was just from standing under a bus shelter with an umbrella.

    Fun, fun, fun!

What always suprises me, is how quickly the rain comes. I always hear like 5 drops then Whooosh! and a wall of water. Seriously… not much of a build-up. Just a waterspout effect.

I admit that when I am in a car/taxi and it’s raining I watch people running through the rain and think “Thank god I’m not one of those poor sods!”.

This kind of weather (I like to call it Lost rain) is all too common in the rainy season. In contrast, when it’s not the rainy season I wander around, sweating profusely, begging the skies to open their floodgates :)

Unless you’ve watched a few episodes of Lost, it probably doesn’t make sense.
