online things
i wish supermarkets in thailand would have like online shopping. i’d love to be able to purchase 3 packs of toilet paper at 3am and get it delivered the next day.
tops is swell and all with the home delivery service and what not. but if there was an online delivery service like tesco in the uk i’d pee my pants because it’d make me happy.
(oh tops now carries waitrose products too… but that’s kinda old news)
besides tohome.com i don’t really know of any other thai online shopping sites. with paul in mind, i went to check out www.col.co.th/ and only powerbuy has an online shopping thing right? i dunno. the websites are hard to navigate.
I always used tesco online when I lived in London. it was great to order 20 litres of coke and 20 litres of water and 10 litres of juice and NOT have to carry them :)
but there are millions of 7-11 that open 24/7 isn’t it? u can get all the toilet paper that u want there
*someone* obviously missed the point of the post.
Online -> delivered to your door.
7/11 might be open 24/7 but you still have to go there.
Online ordering and home delivery of toilet paper would be extremely handy if you realised you were out at the most inopportune of times.
Of course, you would still have to get to the computer to place an order and then they probably don’t deliver in 5 minutes.
I guess that theory’s out the window!
Tescos allowed you to schedule a timeslot SO, in theory, you could, erm, “hold on” for a few hours… add a special request to the order: “please drop my food off and please deliver the toilet paper direct to the bathroom“. Of course, this all relies on you being one of those people who would take a laptop into the toilet and have it running an active net connection.
I don’t know… an hour seems like a horribly long time… Maybe if I had a good book or magazine handy it would be ok :)
But seriously, I wonder if people order toilet paper online. Is it a big seller?
Well, I did. I used online for ordering all the boring things that arnt fun to buy and are too heavy / cumbersome to carry, like a months supply of water or toilet rolls.
I’d probably buy a megalitre of coke or something, so perhaps it’s a good thing they don’t have it :)
