best tollbooth in bangkok hands down: suriwongse, near trocadero hotel
a modest 4 tollbooths at that entry point for the highway, going towards chaengwattana and din daeng. has the best mannered toll collectors. no one ever fails to wai and to say khob khun khrub/kha.
even during shitty friday rush hour, they manage to smile and wai. it honestly makes a difference. i end up smiling too and end up thinking that the suriwongse highway office has trained their toll collectors so well.
