Uffffffff…

Its so hot at the moment that the mere thought of stepping outside in a suit let alone naked (although, I wouldn’t actually do that, of course) fills me with dreaded anticipation. It’s strange to think that for most of my life I always looked forward to summer… at last sunshine, warmth etc… now here it’s the other way round. Aaaah winter in Bangkok – I love it when it’s cold enough you get shivers in the morning.

But it was 39 C today. And it will be tomorrow too and the day after, and the one after that until June *wails hysterically*. I thought I’d never say this but I miss the crappy English weather I do, I do.

I’ve been putting myself through sweat training by walking from Central World to my home in Ratchatewi every day this week. By the time I get home I am usually drenched in sweat, which is rather unpleasant.

The heat wouldn’t be so bad if the humidity wasn’t so high. Then again, I’ve experienced dry heat from back home and I definitely don’t want to revisit that, so bring on the humidity!

This is a thing what I never will understand.
Europeans live in subtropic countries like Thailand and they cannot bear the climate. Is Bangkok such a nice town?
I have to confess, I’m a smoker but I think I live much more
healthier here in Germany as a smoker than to be a non-smoker and I
would live in Bangkok. Did you know that Bangkok has one of the highest rates of lung-cancer of all big cities in the world?
Wish you good and fresh air.
