The Pigs Have Flown

Last night when I was watching Newsline (where the robot guy newsreader was strangely absent, but that’s another story), something happened that I thought was impossible, nay – that I knew was impossible and could simply not occur in this universe. It was one of those surreal kind of Twilight Zone moment.

Prime Minister Taksin Shinawatra admitted that he was wrong.

That deserves its own paragraph I think. What it was that he was actually talking about, I have no idea.

funny u should mention newsline…i have a few gripes about that show..since u mention it i would like to say that i thought i was the only one who thinks all the newsreaders on that programs are robots..and pretentious ones at that.

the women newsreaders always get pronnouciations wrong in thai and often stuffs up even though they are reading from a autocue..

and the men newsreaders..arghh the biggest reason not to watch this show…

did anyone happen to catch the day when one of the male “journalists” interviewed an thai academic on a book he jus published and the journalist kept interupting everything he said with his “analyse” of the “micronisim of thai society “..

well thats my gripe for today…have fun people..by that i mean stay away from “newsline”.

Don’t even get me started on that show! I get told I’m mean because I criticise the presenters but they are just plain terrible. Nowadays I watch it because it is so ridiculous and crap that it’s comedy for me.

I did see the particular show you mention. ‘The robot’ was as arrogant as usual and really showed how much of a lack of respect he had for the person he was interviewing. I’ve also noticed that he will always interrupt the female co-host when she is talking.

There are so many things wrong with this show – I’ve gotta post about it!

that silly guest, I just wonder what makes him qualified to be a commentator. He’s on a lot of Thai programs too. Well, he is the country manager of Samsung Telecom Networks, but ummm, to comment on the US/Thai elections?

I got a good laugh to see him on TV the other day announcing that the organizers of Miss Universe asked him to be the head organizer for the upcoming global event.
