6 down, 39,594 to go

I had the make-your-own pasta for lunch again at the Gianni’s booth at the FoodLoft in Central Chidlom. I was just thinking how boring it was getting having lunch there practically every other day when I noticed: 5 pastas, 6 sauces, and your choice of up to 3 out of 12 ingredients. That’s 5 x 6 x 12 x 11 x 10 = 39,600 combinations (51,840 if you triple up on an ingredient). Maybe I shouldn’t be as bored. Then again, if I’m spending my lunch calculating permutations, perhaps I need a bit more excitement during my work week…

I always go to the Foodloft with such an open mind and every time I end up eating chicken tikka masala the indian stand. No matter what my mind says, it’s like my legs won’t go anywhere else. Sigh.
