Man of the People

My wife just finished watching the King’s traditional birthday speech to the nation. The broadcast ended with the King leaving the building and boarding his convoy of cars. Flanked by all the white Mercedes Benzes was the King’s personal vehicle: an immaculately clean yet completely non-descript grey Honda Civic, in which the King personally got behind the wheel. Apparently, he likes to do his own driving, and he likes small, fuel efficient cars, no frills. I may hate this government, but I absolutely love my King.

Oh how cool is that! Now everytime I see one of those grand convoys down the road, I’m going to look for a civic :)
