Taxi – With a Twist

I experienced something this morning that I have previously only had occur twice in my 2.5 years in Bangkok. I had a female taxi driver.

I find it so fascinating and quite a rarity so she was my lucky charm for the day.

    Are you SURE that was a lady?? you may have in fact been driven by the notorious third sex… the Ladyboy!

    I must admit, I have never seen a ladyboy taxi driver… i guess it just isn’t glamourous enough!

    You do see quite a few lady moto-mafia-drivers though.

    I was just hit by a lady moto-mafia-driver and her sugar daddy about five weeks ago. Honest. She was huge and very frightening. In fact, she scared me more than the guy and now motorcycle taxis scare me… just slightly.

    I had a lady taxi driver, in BangNa.. just east of BKK.

    Her name is “NI” and she is one of the most engaging, charming people i’ve ever met.

    I gave her my e-mail address, but haven’t heard from her. She was such a lovely person,, maybe she wasn’t real…

    If anyone ever encounters this wonderful woman,, please, please tell her i said ‘Hello” and ask her to get in touch with me.

    Actually my Thai girlfriend has a mum who is taxi driver in BKK. So she drove my GF and me a few times around in BKK and one time to Cambodia. Probably she is the one you drove with. At least I never saw anybody else!

    Maybe it was her! But since I wrote this, I’ve had another (different) one so there may be two going around. One was young, the other old.
