Unless you’ve been living a secluded existence you’d have to be familiar with the hawkers that can be found nearly everywhere around Bangkok. You’ll find them while eating out, shopping, walking the street or even walking through shopping complexes. In fact the places where they can’t be found is decreasing and last night a place I had previously considered safe from them was defiled.

I’m all for people finding the motivation to get out their and attempting to make their fortune, even if they always seem to use young children to do so, but I can’t imagine a scenario wherein I might suddenly develop a need for good value wrapping paper while sitting in a hospital lobby.
