Prehistory on Silom

The area outside CP Tower on Silom yesterday was as busy as usual with Orange staff harrassing passerbys about their latest offers as usual, but there was something new yesterday and it’s not often I see people walking around with big (and by this I meand twice the size of what the human body could support) dinosaur heads on so it really stood out.

Obviously I had to find out what it was they were attemping to promote so I tried to get their attention and one of the little pamphlets they were holding. In Bangkok I always have the opposite problem to most in that I can’t seem to make people give me a pamphlet, while others can’t make them stop.

One of my colleagues got one though and it turns out it was a Microsoft promo, but since it was all in Thai I have no idea what it said. Did anyone that can tell me, get one?

Hi, I’m guessing, but it sounds similar to the ad campaign running here in Australia. The theme seems to be that if you don’t use Microsoft Office 2003 your business is back in the dinosaur age. I guess most businesses in LOS don’t use Office then :) If you have reasonable bandwidth, you might like to follow the link to the interactive demo where you wander around the office bumping into various dinosaurs performing clerical tasks.

That sounds like it – That site is fun! Who knew Microsoft could do something that is fun?!
