Don’t Wet My Umbrella
Although I like Bangkok when it rains, one of the few things I dislike about it is not the rain itself but the people in it.
I’m constantly impressed by the Thai ability to detect even the slightest possibility of rain, causing millions to carry umbrellas with them, but when it finally does why do these same people huddle in covered areas holding their umbrellas above them causing those like myself who don’t have an umbrella to walk through the rain to get around them?
Are they afraid that their umbrella might get wet?
