Yes you guessed it, in what is being called “one of the dirtiest general elections the country has ever seen” (Bangkok Post), the Thai Rak Thai party swept into power like the proverbial Tsunami.

Individuals win seats in the general election; the large scale win/loss outcome of the general election is borne out by the Parties themselves. I’m guessin’ you’re equating Thaksin with TRT, since he IS the TRT! [/pedant]

Really? You mean Thaksin didn’t do it all by himself? But… But… Wasn’t that him bellowing slogans from the back of the pickup truck on Asoke? Does that mean that Tony Blair is mearly the frontman for a… whats the word… I saw it on CNN… erm… “political party”?… and… and… Bush – Does he also have a party behind him? And there was me thinking that Republicans were people who owned bars and Democrats followed the teaching of that famous Greek guy, Democraties.
