Carnivals are in Town

The two new theme parks are making quite a stir in Bangkok. Everybody I know (everybody below 30, that is) either have already been there, or are making plan for a visit.

The bigger one of the two is World Carnival Bangkok at Muang Thong Thani. From what I have heard, the rides are amazing but cost quite a bit. The most expensive is the ‘ejection seat’ (reversed bungee), which is 300 baht a pop. The ones that come highly recommended to me are the (air-conned) Giant Ferris Wheel and the windmill thing called ‘Top Buzz’.

The other, smaller, carnival is the Amazing Fun Park. It’s not as big, but much easier to get to. (Cultural Centre Station, exit number 3) Probably that’s why it’s more crowded. Again, it’s the reversed bungee that peoples seemed to like the most.

The best part is both of them are open until about 11pm. I can’t imagine getting on a roller coaster in a typical bangkok afternoon.

Now, would anyone please go and win one of those Tigger for me?
